Who is Spike Lee?

Shelton Jackson also known as "Spike" Lee is an American film director, producer, writer, and actor. Born on March 20, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia, Spike Lee moved to Brooklyn, New York as a young child; little did he know, Brooklyn would change his WHOLE LIFE.

Spike Lee enrolled in Morehouse College where he made his first student film, he then also took film courses at Clark Atlanta University where he graduated with a B.A. in  Morehouse College. Following graduation, Spike enrolled in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts , where he earned a Master of Fine Arts in Film & Television.

Many of you may know Spike Lee from his famous Nike/Michael Jordan commercials, and/or being court side at EVERY single New York Knicks game. But many may not know, Spike Lee now has his own production company, 40 Acres & A Mule Filmworks, which has produced over 35 films since 1983. Some including: He Got Game, Crooklyn, Jungle Fever, Do the Right Thing, and many more classics. Take a look at some oh his work!
