Selected for USOC F.L.A.M.E. program

I would like to PROUDLY announce that I have officially been selected/accepted to attend the United States Olympic Committee's F.L.A.M.E. program this summer which will be held in Colorado Springs, CO at the USOC headquarters.

For all who don't know, the F.L.A.M.E. program stands for "Finding Leaders Among Minorities Everywhere" and it is a 4-day, ALL PAID FOR, minority leadership program that is held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs every summer. The program consists of various types of presentations, seminars, networking, workshops, tours, speakers, etc. They will fly me in from Akron, OH to Colorado Springs, CO on July 16th and I will return to Ohio sometime on July 19th.

I am also EXTREMELY PROUD to say that I am 1 out of 30 blessed attendees in the WHOLE COUNTRY that has been given this opportunity!!!!! I look forward to representing myself, Northern Michigan University, the USOEC program here at NMU, Jeff Kleinschmidt-Director of USOEC Program at NMU, the faculty/staff at NMU, my family, friends, and everyone else who is in support of me!

I look forward to taking this trip and acquiring a lot of knowledge, connections, and potential relationships that will benefit me in the near future. I will also take a NUMBER of pictures as well as video coverage of the whole journey which I will be posting on my return for you all to see...

Make sure you stay tuned here in the near future for all updates and things in which I will be receiving along the process up until the program. I know they have told me the local newspapers and news stations will be notified and stories will be ran on this, so stay tuned, I'll have the latest on all of that as soon as I find out! Once again, thank you all for your support, I appreciate each and every person who is in support of me and what I'm trying to do with my life.

Thank you,
